OUR STORY

About the band

Learning together. Playing together. Sharing the music.

Dolores Creek with mandolin, guitar, upright bass, fiddle, and banjo

Dolores Creek Bluegrass Band is now in its fourth year of making music together in south-central Pennsylvania.

The band got its start at a bluegrass jam in York, where we came together to learn songs, improve our playing, and enjoy making music with other musicians. Before long, we decided to form a band and take that music out into the community. We’ve been learning, playing, and entertaining audiences together ever since.

Dolores Creek plays a mix of traditional and contemporary bluegrass, with plenty of singing, harmony, and instrumentals featuring banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and bass.

We’re dedicated to learning and preserving this uniquely American musical tradition—and, most of all, to having fun, sharing the music, and making new music friends along the way.
